We all have them, a project we keep meaning to start or one that’s almost but not quite finished. One we’d like to get in motion but just don’t get around to.

Need to get moving? Take the stairs...

Awhile back, I had shoulder surgery which required several months of physical therapy. Sitting in the waiting area 3 times a week for months on end I began to find ways to entertain myself. One day as I was waiting, I noticed this sign and though it would make an interesting visual thinking model. So, I began to play with ideas for how I might use simple stairs as a visual metaphor.

Perhaps as a  Project Kick Starter , with questions like…

  • Where are you now?
  • What you do want to achieve?
  • What 3 bold steps could get you started?

Or possibly as a Project Closer with questions like…

  • Where are you now?
  • What 3 steps could get you across the finish line?
  • How will you celebrate success?
