Introducing Applied Visual Thinking

When Debbie DeLue and I met in late 2018, we discovered that we shared the vision of a world where VISUAL THINKING becomes first nature to everyone.

There are a lot of wonderful methods out there for learning how to create simple visuals for business, and a lot of great teachers.* There are also a lot of excellent visual systems for managing complex business processes. These are most helpful for someone with a foundation in either the drawing or business process end.

But what if you complete a training and are left with the questions, “Now what? How can I use this TODAY?” We could relate to this feeling, and we knew we could bridge the gap by creating hands-on, immediately applicable courses that are accessible to everyone.

Now what? How can I use the tools I learned TODAY?

Applied Visual Thinking is the brainchild that emerged, AVT for short.

We've partnered with Dan Roam's best in class learning platform The Napkin Academy to bring new fast, fun, visual thinking courses to everyone because we believe…

  • Learning to work visually is within everyone’s reach
  • Learning these skills can and should be fast, easy, and fun
  • Learning to work visually is a vital 21st-century skill
  • Everyone, at all levels must be ready, willing, and able to contribute to the conversation
